Abstract:
The present invention relates to a successive approximation register (SAR) ADC to which a secondary noise shaping technique is applied, the SAR ADC comprising: an SAR capacitor DAC array for receiving an input analog signal, sampling an input voltage thereof, and storing the input voltage; a first preamplifier for amplifying a residual voltage remaining after performing an SAR operation in the SAR capacitor DAC array; a first integrator for receiving an input of a signal amplified by the first preamplifier and integrating the received signal through a single-gain buffer; a second preamplifier for receiving an input of an output signal of the first integrator and re-amplifying the received output signal; a second integrator for receiving an input of a signal amplified by the second preamplifier and integrating the received signal through the single-gain buffer; a comparator for comparing a voltage output from the second integrator with a reference voltage; and an SAR logic for outputting a digital signal on the basis of a difference voltage and controlling an SAR capacitor DAC.
