Abstract:
A satellite constellation formation system in which each satellite in an orbit satellite group is provided with a propulsion device for changing the speed of each satellite in the orbit satellite group. A satellite constellation formation unit operates the propulsion device of each of the satellites in the orbit satellite group in a synchronized manner in each orbital plane of a plurality of orbital planes. The satellite constellation formation unit executes, for each of satellites in an orbit satellite group in one orbital plane of the plurality of orbital planes, an acceleration and deceleration process that repeats an operation of accelerating a first amount of time and then decelerating the first amount of time. Also for each of satellites in orbit satellite groups in orbital planes adjacent to the one orbital plane, the satellite constellation formation unit repeats starting the acceleration/deceleration process after a delay of a second amount of time from the time point at which the acceleration/deceleration process was started for the one orbital plane, for each of a plurality of orbital planes.
