Abstract:
[Problem] To control relative positions and attitudes of artificial satellites by magnetic force alone without limiting the use to the orbit of celestial bodies where geomagnetism exists. [Solution] A satellite position/attitude control system 1 for controlling relative positions and attitudes of a master satellite 2 and a slave satellite 3, wherein the master satellite 2 and the slave satellite 3 each have a triaxial magnetic field generation sources 21, 31 and control units 24, 34, and the control units 24, 34 control the magnetic flux density vector of the magnetic field generated by the triaxial magnetic field generation sources 21, 31 according to the relative positions and attitudes of the master satellite 2 and the slave satellite 3.
