Abstract:
Disclosed is a satellite radio-wave watch which suppresses reception operation in circumstances in which a satellite signal cannot be normally received. In addition, the reception operation is performed under different conditions corresponding to the type of reference information to be acquired. The satellite radio-wave watch therefore includes: a reception circuit (31) which receives a satellite signal; and a controller (47) which successively detects the amount of light received by the satellite radio-wave watch and also calculates the amount of change in received light, and which initiates the reception operation for the satellite signal performed by the reception circuit (31), in accordance with the amount of change in received light. Alternatively, the controller (47) stores startup conditions for the reception means for acquiring the reference information, in association with the items of reference information, determines whether or not the startup conditions stored in association with the reference information are satisfied when the items of reference information are acquired, and initiates the reception operation for the satellite signal performed by the reception circuit (31), in accordance with the determination result.
