Abstract:
A satellite switching method and apparatus, a storage medium, and a chip system, relating to the technical field of communications, and used for reducing the signaling overhead and the time delay of a switching process of a first terminal device. In the present application, when pre-estimating that a first terminal device switches from a source access network device to a first destination access network device at one future moment, a first communication apparatus sends a first request message to other apparatuses. The first request message is used for indicating that a PDU session of the first terminal device is pre-estimated to be switched at one future moment, or the first request message is used for indicating that the first terminal device is pre-estimated to be switched at one future moment. In this way, other apparatuses can prepare for switching of the first terminal device in advance, so that the signaling overhead of the switching process of the first terminal device can be reduced, and thus the time delay of the switching process of the first terminal device is reduced.
