Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of energy storage. Disclosed are a scalable energy storage system and a scaling method thereof. The system comprises an inverter system provided with a built-in battery therein, external batteries, and a switching compensation circuit; the external batteries are in communication connection with the inverter system by means of hot-plugging connecting wires; the external batteries are further connected to the built-in battery by means of the switching compensation circuit; the inverter system is configured to disconnect a charge tube of the built-in battery and close a discharge tube of the built-in battery when the electric quantity of the built-in battery is lower than a preset electric quantity; and the switching compensation circuit is configured to control the external batteries to be connected to the built-in battery when the electric quantity of the built-in battery is lower than the preset electric quantity and when the electric quantity of the external batteries is higher than that of the built-in battery. The energy storage system provided in embodiments of the present application can implement parallel scaling of batteries and hot-plugging connection of external batteries, and the system has a simple structure and high safety performance.
