Abstract:
A scale (10) comprises: first graduation lines (11) arranged at an interval (P1) in the arrangement direction (21) and extending in the graduation line direction (22); and second to fourth graduation lines (12-14). In a group of two or more fourth graduation lines (14) arranged continuously in the arrangement direction (21), two adjacent graduation lines (14) of the group are arranged so as to be displaced from each other in the graduation line direction (22), and the length L1 of the overlap portion (25) in the arrangement direction (21) is less than or equal to 50% of the length L of the graduation lines (14).
