Abstract:
A scanned antenna provided with: a first dielectric substrate; a TFT substrate including a plurality of TFTs supported on the first dielectric substrate, patch electrodes supported on the first dielectric substrate in correspondence to the TFTs, a plurality of gate bus lines, and a plurality of source bus lines; a second dielectric substrate; an electrode substrate including slot electrodes having slots formed on a first major surface of the second dielectric substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the TFT substrate and the electrode substrate; and a columnar organic structure having a height defining the distance between the TFT substrate and the electrode substrate. A plurality of antenna units delimited by the patch electrodes, the slot electrodes including the slots corresponding to the patch electrodes, and the liquid crystal layer corresponding to the patch electrodes are arrayed. The height of the organic structure is not less than 5 μm and not more than 300 μm. The organic structure has a rate of elasticity recovery from when compressively deformed which is not less than 80% and not more than 98% in a temperature range of from -40°C or more and 40°C or less.
