Abstract:

Provided is a scanner comprising: a camera that acquires image data by scanning an object; a communication interface including a port to which a predetermined cable for communicating with an external device is connected; a processor; and a memory that stores instructions executable by the processor, wherein the processor: transmits a signal through a cable connected to an image processing device that receives the image data by executing the instructions; on the basis of a feedback signal in response to the signal from the cable, obtains recognition information confirming whether the cable is genuine; and transmits the recognition information to the image processing device through the cable.
