Abstract:
This scanning device is provided with: an MEMS mirror mechanism (3) that rocks a mirror (3A) with respect to a first axis line (A1) as a center line, and also rocks the mirror (3A) with respect to a second axis line (A2) as a center line; and a control unit (5) that generates a first drive signal (S1) for rocking the mirror (3A) with respect to the first axis line (A1) as a center line, and a second drive signal (S2) for rocking the mirror (3A) with respect to the second axis line (A2) as a center line. The control unit (5) repeats generation of a second signal element constituting the second drive signal (S2) so as to correspond to a first signal element of a period equal to or less than one cycle of the first drive signal (S1), thereby generating the first drive signal (S1) and the second drive signal (S2) so that m (m is an integer of 2 or more) round trips in an irradiation region in a first direction and one round trip in the irradiation region in a second direction correspond to each other.
