A scattering tomography method includes: a step of emitting waves to an object from a plurality of transmission antenna elements disposed so as to form a line on a side face of a case; a step of receiving scattered waves with a plurality of reception antenna elements disposed so as to form a line on the side face of the case; and a step of reconstructing an image related to internal information of the object from scattered wave data representing the scattered waves received with the reception antenna elements. In the step of reconstructing the image, a reconstruction function for reconstructing the image related to internal information of the object is preset with a three-dimensional space having the same shape as the case as a target, an asymptotic equation that an asymptotic formula of the reconstruction function satisfies is constructed, a visualization function obtained by solving the asymptotic equation is derived from the scattered wave data, and the image related to internal information of the object is reconstructed using the visualization function.
