Abstract:
[Problem] To detect tracking deterioration of an insulating object early. [Solution] An insulator (1) is an insulation support object provided inside a switch gear, and is connected to a bus bar (2). A gauge transformer (3) measures a voltage received by the insulator (1) from the bus bar (2). A gauge converter (4) measures a current that flows in a ground wire connected to a lower portion of the insulator (1). In an inspection performed periodically, when a voltage stress is applied to the insulator (1), scintillation is generated at random at a weak location of the insulator (1). At a position a specified distance away from the insulator (1), microphones (M1, M2) are installed with a specified interval therebetween, and measure acoustic signals generated by the insulator (1). Subsequently, a check is performed of whether the acoustic signals measured by the microphones (M1, M2) have a range of oscillation of at least a specified value, and whether between two acoustic signals, there is a time correlation that corresponds to the distance between the microphones (M1, M2). If there is a time correlation, it is assessed that there is a possibility that scintillation was generated in the insulator (1).
