Abstract:
A scintillator panel manufacturing method, that is a method of manufacturing a scintillator panel for converting radiation into scintillator light, includes: a first step of forming, on a front face of a substrate having the front face and a back face, a plurality of convex portions that project in a prescribed direction from the back face to the front face and concave portions defined by the convex portions; a second step of forming first scintillator sections extending in a prescribed direction from each of the convex portions on the substrate by way of growing scintillator material columnar crystals; and a third step of mutually separating first scintillator sections that are mutually adjacent and extend from the convex portion by exposing the contacting portions between the first scintillator sections that are mutually adjacent and extend from the convex portions to laser light by way of sweeping laser light along the concave portions.
