Abstract:
Provided is an inexpensive scraper type heat exchanger of simple construction that obviates the need for a pump to pump in a process fluid. In this scraper type heat exchanger (1), as a suction delivery element (30) designed to rotate while traveling in reciprocating fashion in close contact against the inner wall (200) of a heat transfer tube (20) travels from a process fluid inlet part (21) side towards a process fluid outlet part (22), process fluid which is sucked inside the heat transfer tube (20) from the process fluid inlet part (21), while at the same time, process fluid that has previously been sucked in, passed through the suction delivery element (30) via check valves (310, 320), and discharged to the process fluid outlet part (22) side is forced out to the process fluid outlet part (22). The process fluid inside the heat transfer tube (20) undergoes heat exchange with a heat coolant flowing between a jacket tube (10) and the heat transfer tube (20). Process fluid deposited on the inner wall (200) of the heat transfer tube (20) is scraped off by a rotating scraper part (33).
