Abstract:
Provided is a screen device capable of effectively fiberizing an undefibrated piece in a reject according to the defibration state of the undefibrated piece. Specifically disclosed is a screen device provided with: a screen entrance chamber (6) for sorting paper starting materials into an accepted item (B) that is a good-quality fiber and a reject (C) that is foreign matter; a reject chamber (7) to which the reject (C) obtained by the sorting in the screen entrance chamber (6) is sent; and a defibration unit (25) which comprises a defibration stator (25a) and a defibration rotor (25b) both for further fiberizing an undefibrated starting material in the reject (C), the defibration stator (25a) and the defibration rotor (25b) respectively comprising stepped pockets (41c, 51c) facing each other across a gap (59), and which fiberizes the reject (C) sent from the screen entrance chamber (6) to the reject chamber (7) through the pockets (41c, 51c). The defibration stator (25a) and the defibration rotor (25b) are attachably and detachably mounted by fastening members (44, 55).
