Provided in the embodiment of the invention are a screen recording method for mobile terminal testing and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: determining whether the mobile terminal is in a functional test mode; and when the mobile terminal is in the function test mode, performing screen recording on the mobile terminal, wherein the screen recording is used to record screen display content of the mobile terminal and a touch action of a user. In the method, the screen recording is performed right after the mobile terminal is determined to enter the function test mode. That is, as long as the mobile terminal enters the function test mode, the mobile terminal records the screen display content and the user's touch action during the test. When there is a problem in a test, the developer can clearly know the test scenario and the specific problem according to the content recorded during the test, and further, the cause of the problem is accurately analyzed according to the test scenario and the specific problem, thereby greatly reducing the complexity of problem analysis.
