Abstract:
Screening device for separating dry granular material into a fine fraction and a coarse fraction, comprising a drum screen (1) defined by an open rotatable frame (14), which frame (14) defines a circumferential wall, and a sheet-like screen (19) arranged over the circumferential wall of the frame (14), a driving device by means of which the drum screen (1) is rotatably driven, a feed opening (11a) at a short end of the drum screen (1) and a discharge opening (12a) at the opposite short end of the drum screen (1). The screening device comprises a vibration device which rotates along with the drum screen (1), which vibration device comprises one or more vibrating elements (6) mounted to the drum screen (1), which set the drum screen (1) vibrating in use. The invention further relates to the screening of granular material using such a device.
