Abstract:
The present invention relates to a screening device for recovering cleaning balls for cleaning the cooling water piping of a condenser in a power plant, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a screening device for recovering cleaning balls, the device having a maximized screening area of screens for recovering cleaning balls for cleaning cooling water piping of a condenser in a power plant, thereby reducing the flow resistance of the screens and decreasing the rate at which cleaning balls are damaged and the rate at which cleaning balls are lost. To this end, a screening device for recovering cleaning balls for cleaning the cooling water piping of a condenser in a power plant according to the present invention comprises: a conduit having a cooling water inlet on one end thereof, a cooling water outlet on the other end thereof, and a pair of ball discharge ports arranged to face each other in the transverse direction with regard to the axis thereof; and a pair of screens having upstream ends arranged adjacent to each other in the conduit and downstream ends inclined to face each other so as to contact the inner wall of the conduit, thereby screening cleaning balls in the cooling water and guiding the cleaning balls to the ball discharge ports, wherein the screens have valley shaped portions having outwards expanding V-shaped sectional shapes, which are transverse to the direction of inclination, in at least a part of the longitudinal section thereof.
