Abstract:
Disclosed is a screening method for a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS2). Specifically disclosed are: a screening method for a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, comprising the step of determining a substance capable of inhibiting the expression of Tollip in a cell as being a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; a screening method for a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, comprising the step of determining a substance capable of accelerating the translocation of Tollip from a cytoplasm to a cell nucleus in a cell as being a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; and a screening method for a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, comprising the step of determining a substance capable of inhibiting the interaction between Tollip and IRAK-1 in a cell as being a therapeutic agent for familial juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
