Provided are a screw compressor and an air conditioner comprising the screw compressor, the screw compressor comprising a housing (1), a frequency converter, an electric motor (2), a spool valve (4), and a rotor in driving connection with the electric motor (2), wherein the frequency converter controls the rotation speed of the electric motor (2), so as to control the rotation speed of the rotor; the housing (1) comprises an air suction chamber (S); and the spool valve (4) comprises a spool valve main body (41) moving relative to the housing (1) in an axial direction of the rotor, the spool valve main body (41) has a first working state and a second working state, and in the first working state, a compression chamber of the rotor is disconnected from the air suction chamber (S), and in the second working state, the compression chamber of the rotor is in communication with the air suction chamber (S), so that some of the compressed air in the compression chamber flows into the air suction chamber (S) so as to reduce the power of the screw compressor. The reliable operation range of the screw compressor is relatively large.
