Abstract:
This screw compressor is capable of performing displacement control, ranging from a rated load to a minimum load, by use of a slide valve, further reduces the minimum load at which a compression operation can be performed, and also achieves high efficiency at the rated load. The screw compressor is provided with: a casing that accommodates a screw rotor therein and has an intake port and an axial discharge port; a slide valve that is axially disposed, in a freely reciprocating manner, at a compression-chamber-side meshing part of the screw rotor and changes the load rate by adjusting the timing for starting compression so as to control displacement; and a movable member that constitutes a portion of the axial discharge port and is configured such that the timing for discharging compressed gas can be changed by moving this portion of the axial discharge port.
