Abstract:
This screw compressor comprises a screw rotor, a casing, and a liquid supply unit (38) that supplies a liquid in film form into a compression chamber formed in the casing. The screw rotor has a male rotor and a female rotor. Formed on the inner surface of the casing are a male-side bore (9) that covers the male rotor and a female-side bore (10) that covers the female rotor. A high-pressure-side line of intersection between the male-side bore (9) and the female-side bore (10) is designated as a compression-side cusp (12). In an expanded view of the bores, the first point of intersection between an extended line (31) of a female-side addendum line (27) and a male-side addendum line (26) moves with the rotation of the male rotor and female rotor, and the locus formed by this movement is designated as a locus line (32). In this case, the position of the opening of the liquid supply unit (38) in the compression chamber is between the compression-side cusp (12) and the locus line (32). The liquid supplied from outside of the screw compressor into the compression chamber through the liquid supply unit is thereby sufficiently brought to atomization in a shorter distance from the liquid supply unit.
