Description:
SCREW-ON COVER WITH HORIZONTAL HERMETIC LOCKING -The area of technology the invention falls into Screw-on cover with horizontal hermetic locking falls in the category of lids in general. According to the international classification of patents (ICP) object of the invention has been classified and labelled by a classification symbol B 65 D 41/22.

-Technical problem Technical problem solved with this application lies in the following: How to resolve the construction of a lid which provides hermetic locking of jars and similar dishes for packing of food products? And also, how to achieve the elimination of air from the contents of a dish (at the moment of locking) by a constructional solution? -State of technology So far known lids for locking of jars and other packings for food products have generally been made of metal materials. Caulking is made possible by a thin layer of liquid rubber put on the inner side of the lid at the point of contact with the brim of the jar. After locking there remains a certain amount of air trapped inside the jar, badly affecting the contents.

The aim of the solution according to this application lies in the construction of a lid which, during locking, eliminates all air from the contents of the packing and provides hermetic locking (complete caulking between the lid and the dish).

-Description of the solution of this technical problem In pictures 1 i 2 we see sections of structural drawings of the lid with horizontal hermetic locking in an open and a closed (pictures 3,4) position respectively. By means of a constructive solution according to this bid, some basic elements of the lid have been planned: lid 1 and a stop 2; lid support 3 with a stop 4; elastic tooth 5 with a protrusion 51 ; a skew slide 6 with a groove 61; elastic membrane 7 with a sealer 8 and elastic membrane support 9. Neck of the jar is number 10.

Lid 1 is connected to lid support 3 through a stop 2 i 4. Lower belt of lid support is made of circularly arranged elastic teeth 5 (with protrusions 51) which hold an elastic sealer pulled on from below 8 along with an elastic membrane 7. In picture 2 we see a projection of a horizontal section of structural drawing of the lid (in the open position).

Elastic membrane support 9 allows mild protrusion of elastic membrane 7.

During locking of the jar, (picture 1) so that lid support 3 lies on the brim of jar neck 10, lower belt of lid support makes contact with the surface of the contents: elastic membrane 7, sealer 8 i elastic teeth 5 are immersed in the contents immediately before locking of the jar.

By screwing the lid 1 (picture 3) turning of the lower part of the lid along with skew slides 6 is achieved, which allows horizontal pressing of circularly arranged elastic teeth 5. The pressure, through elastic sealer 8, is transmitted to the inner walls of the jar evenly on the whole circle and allows hermetic locking. In picture 4 a projection of horizontal section of structural drawings of the lid (in closed position) is seen. Protrusions 51 are in appropriate position in the grooves 61.

Short description of the invention Screw-on cover with horizontal hermetic locking consists of an elastic membrane (7) with a cork (8), set, with its bottom, on circularly arranged teeth (5) of the lid support (3), which is by means of a stop (4) namely (2) in a constructive way connected to the lid (1).

By turning the lid (1) one applies a horizontal (lateral) pressure on circularly arranged teeth (5), through skew slides (6). The pressure is transmitted to the cork (8) evenly on-the whole circle and inner walls of the jar (9), by which hermetic locking is achieved.

By unscrewing the lid (1) one easily brings it into initial position and opens the jar.
