Abstract:
The present invention provides a screw extruder for industrially mass-producing a highly diastatic cellulose-containing composition by continuously subjecting a cellulose-containing biomass to a hydrothermal treatment, the screw extruder being characterized by comprising a starting-material supply unit, a crushing unit, a heating unit, and a cooling unit, and by having a plurality of sealing rings arranged in the heating unit.
