Abstract:
The present invention relates to a screw (3) of an injection molding machine (1) in which a first compression sector (5), a starvation sector (6), and a second compression sector (7) are formed in a heating cylinder (2), and in which an inert gas is introduced into the starvation sector (6). In the present invention, a barrier flight (13), which is a double flight comprising a combination of a main flight (14) and a sub-flight (15) having a large lead angle, is provided in a part of the screw (3) corresponding to the first compression sector (5), and a dam flight (18) assuming a ring shape having a prescribed width is provided downstream of, that is, in front of the barrier flight (13). A seal construction (20) for preventing backflow of resin may be provided between the dam flight (18) and the starvation sector (6).
