Abstract:
Provided is a screw for an injection molding machine that can solve the uneven distribution of reinforcing fibers without applying excessive shear forces on the reinforcing fibers. A screw (10), to which resin pellets (P) are supplied at the upstream end in the resin conveyance direction and reinforcing fibers (F) are supplied at the downstream end and which is provided inside a heating cylinder (201) of an injection molding machine (1), is equipped with: a first stage (21) for melting the supplied resin pellets (P); and a second stage (22) continuing from the first stage (21) for mixing the melted resin (M) with the reinforcing fibers (F). A second scraper (28) that is provided in the second stage is provided with a large diameter scraper (28A) with a relatively large outer diameter and a small diameter scraper (28B) with a relatively small outer diameter.
