Abstract:

In this screw thread cutter, a screw thread cutting blade is formed on the distal-end-portion outer periphery of a cutter body. The finishing blade thread height, from a tangent passing through the bottom of second and third valleys to the outer peripheral edge of first and second finishing blades, is equal for the first and second finishing blades. The leading blade thread height, from the tangent to the outer peripheral edge of the leading blade, is less than the finishing blade thread height. The first valley depth from the outer peripheral edge of the first finishing blade to the bottom of a first valley is greater than the second valley depth from the outer peripheral edge of the second finishing blade to the bottom of the second valley.
