Abstract:
A screw tightening tool which comprises a spiral-shaped power spring (1) and latch means (2). Mounted to a front end of the power spring (1) is an engagement member (3), which has a fitting portion (31) and is adapted to engage with a member being tightened. Provided on a rear end of the power spring (1) are a ring-shaped portion (41) and a fixture member (42), the ring-shaped portion (41) being fixed to a member, to which a member (H) being tightened, such as bolt and nut is mounted. The latch means (2) comprises a cord-shaped latch member (21), and a latch member insertion hole (22) provided on the power spring (1). The power spring (1) can be latched by inserting the latch member (21) through the latch member insertion hole (22) to wind the same around an outer periphery of the power spring (1), and latching of the latch member (21) is released by an operation, in which the ring-shaped portion (41) at the rear end of the power spring (1) is fixed to the member being mounted. Accordingly, it is possible to perform tightening with a predetermined torque without performing an operation of tightening a bolt, nut or the like with a predetermined torque.
