Abstract:
An injection molding machine where the amount of plasticization of a material
by a barrel and a scroll is increased and where an injection molding capacity is
enhanced. The barrel (23) and the scroll (20) used to knead the material in the
injection molding machine (2) are disposed opposite to each other, with at least
either of them rotated about the rotation axis (K) of the scroll. The scroll (20)
has formed in its surface a groove (21) facing the barrel and spirally turned around
the rotation axis. The volume (V1) of one turn of the groove is less than or equal
to the volume (V2) of another turn of the groove adjacent on the inside of the one
turn. The barrel (23) has a discharge port (25) for the material and also has at
least one spiral groove (26) formed in the surface that faces the scroll and extending
from the discharge port.
