Abstract:
A stationary scroll (12) is affixed and held within a housing (30). An orbiting scroll (11) is driven by a crankshaft (25) and orbits relative to the stationary scroll (12). The orbiting scroll (11) forms compression chambers (15) in cooperation with the stationary scroll (12), the compression chambers (15) compressing a refrigerant to a high pressure, the refrigerant being supplied from a low-pressure refrigerant supply passage (37). Also, the present invention is provided with intermittent connection sections (100a, 100b) which, in order to inject an intermediate-pressure refrigerant into the compression chambers (15), intermittently connect intermediate-pressure refrigerant supply passages (8a, 8b) to the compression chambers (15), respectively, in response to the orbiting of the orbiting scroll (11).
