Abstract:
Provided is a high-efficiency scroll compressor configured so that the deformation of a stationary scroll during operation can be suppressed. This scroll compressor is provided with: a stationary scroll (30) having a stationary end plate (32) and a spiral stationary wrap (34) which protrudes from the front surface (32a) of the stationary end plate; a movable scroll (40) having a spiral movable wrap (44) combined with the stationary wrap to form a compression chamber (Sc); and a cover member (60) which is disposed in a high-pressure space located on the rear surface (32b) side of the stationary end plate and which is attached to the stationary scroll. The stationary end plate has a compression chamber-adjacent section (33) having a front surface in contact with the compression chamber. The compression chamber-adjacent section includes: a high-pressure-adjacent portion (33a) which is disposed at the center of the compression chamber-adjacent section and in which the front surface of the stationary end plate is in contact with the high-pressure compression chamber; and a medium/low-pressure-adjacent portion (33b) disposed outside the high-pressure-adjacent portion. The cover member forms a rear-surface-adjacent space (S3) having low or medium pressure, the rear-surface-adjacent space (S3) being in contact with at least a part of the rear surface of the medium/low-pressure-adjacent portion of the compression chamber-adjacent section of the stationary end plate.
