Abstract:
The present invention relates to a scroll compressor comprising: a casing; an orbiting scroll; a fixed scroll; and a main frame supporting the orbiting scroll. The fixed scroll comprises a fixed scroll end plate and a fixed scroll wrap protruding from the fixed scroll end plate. The main frame comprises a main frame end plate at the opposite side to the fixed scroll end plate based on the orbiting scroll, and a main frame side plate protruding from the outer circumferential portion of the main frame end plate towards the fixed scroll. The fixed scroll end plate, the main frame end plate, and the main frame side plate may form an orbiting space of the orbiting scroll. Accordingly, an orbital radius of the orbiting scroll is increased inside the casing that has a predetermined size, and thus, a refrigerant discharging amount can be increased in a state in which the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll are accommodated in the casing.
