Abstract:

This scroll compressor comprises a shell, a main frame, a fixed scroll, an oscillating scroll, an electric motor, and a discharge pipe. Provided in the interior of the shell are: a coolant suction space located in front of where a coolant that has been taken in from the exterior is brought into a compression chamber; a discharge space located above the fixed scroll, and serving as an exit for the coolant which has been compressed in the compression chamber; and a communication pathway for communicating the discharge space and a motor space with each other. In between the main frame and the fixed scroll, an isolation wall portion is provided for isolating the communication pathway from the coolant suction space. A fixed base plate is fixed to an inner wall surface of the shell.
