Provided is a scroll fluid machine in which the deformed shape of the surface of a main shaft frame fastened to a fixed scroll is made uniform, whereby the sealing performance thereof can be increased and compression performance thereof can be improved. The scroll fluid machine is characterized by comprising a scroll unit installed in a container, a main shaft frame which is fitted into the container, fastened to the fixed scroll by a fastening means at the outer peripheral section, and stores a movable scroll in the space formed between the main shaft frame itself and the fixed scroll, a refrigerant passage which is so provided as to extend through the fixed scroll and the main shaft frame at the outer peripheral section in the axial direction and to open to the rear surface of the main shaft frame, and guides the high-pressure refrigerant compressed and discharged by the scroll unit to the rear side of the main shaft frame, and a countersunk section formed at the opening peripheral edge of the refrigerant passage of the spindle frame, and furthermore characterized in that a recess is formed at a predetermined position symmetric to the countersunk section with respect to the axis.
