Abstract:
Provided is a scroll fluid machine that has an inclined section in a wall body and an end plate and that is capable of performing effectively. A scroll compressor (1) is provided with a fixed scroll member (3) and a rotating scroll (5). The scroll compressor (1) is also provided with an inclined section in which the distance (L) between the facing surfaces of an end plate (3a) and an end plate (5a) that face each other continuously decreases from the outer circumferential side toward the inner circumferential side. A tip seal that is in contact with facing tooth bottoms and that seals in a fluid is provided to a groove formed in the tooth tips of wall bodies (3b, 5b). When the radius of rotation of the rotating scroll (3) is denoted by ρ and the inclination of the inclined section in the spiral direction is denoted by φ, the tip clearance variation (ΔT) satisfies ΔT = 2ρ × tanφ, and the tip clearance variation (ΔT) is 50% or less of the height of the tip seal.
