Abstract:
The present invention provides a scroll member which has excellent mechanical strength at the root part of a blade, where the largest load is applied, and which is provided with an alumite film that has a sufficient hardness. The present invention has a configuration wherein an alumite film 3 that has a Vickers hardness of 400 or more is formed on the surface of a scroll forged article 2, which is formed of an aluminum alloy that contains from 8.0% by mass to 12.0% by mass of Si, from 0.1% by mass to 0.5% by mass of Fe, from 0.6% by mass to 1.1% by mass of Cu and from 0.2% by mass to 0.8% by mass of Mg, with the balance being made up of Al and unavoidable impurities; and the tensile strength in the plane direction of a bottom plate 21 of the scroll forged article is 350 MPa or more but less than 400 MPa.
