Abstract:
This seal cover 14 closes an annular opening 10 having an engagement protrusion 14 on the outer peripheral surface, and is provided with: a fitting unit 22 on the outer peripheral surface of which a seal ring 23 (one example of a seal member) is fitted; and an engagement unit 24 which, when the fitting unit 22 is fitted into the opening 10, is pushed by the engagement protrusion 14 to elastically deform and pass over the engagement protrusion 14 to be engaged to the engagement protrusion 14, wherein, on the leading end of the engagement unit 24 on the front side in the fitting direction, a taper surface 27 is formed such that, when the fitting unit 22 is fitted and inserted into the opening 10, time point T2, at which the elastic deformation of the engagement unit 24 becomes maximum, is delayed until after time point T1, at which the compression of the seal ring 23 becomes maximum.
