Abstract:

Provided is a seal device with which it is possible to suppress the depositing of foreign substances between screw protrusions in a non-sealed object side near a peripheral protrusion. In a seal device (1), a lip distal end part (24) of a seal lip (21) of an elastic body (20) is sectioned by a seal-side surface (26) and an atmosphere-side surface (27) connected via a lip distal end (25), and the lip distal end part (24) has a peripheral protrusion (31) and a screw part (32) provided to the atmosphere-side surface (27). The peripheral protrusion (31) extends parallel to the lip distal end (25), and the screw part (32) is provided with a plurality of parallel screw protrusions (33) and a plurality of concave screw protrusions (34). The parallel screw protrusions (33) are aligned parallel to each other at equal pitch intervals between the lip distal end (25) and the peripheral protrusion (31), and the concave screw protrusions (34) are aligned parallel to each other at equal pitch intervals while extending toward the atmosphere side from the peripheral protrusion (31). The concave screw protrusions (34) do not overlap adjacent concave screw protrusions (34) in the direction of an axis line (x).
