Abstract:
The present invention prevents lubricating oil on a machine-interior side from seeping through and eventually leaking out of a gap between a flange part of a slinger and a main lip even at the time of high-speed rotation when the rotational speed of a rotation shaft is equal to or greater than a prescribed value. The present invention comprises: a slinger having a cylindrical part that is fitted to the outer circumferential surface of a rotation shaft that rotates with respect to a housing and an annular flange part that extends in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the rotation shaft from an inner end of the cylindrical part; and a seal part that is fitted to the housing and has a main lip that slidably contacts a flat outer side surface of the flange part of the slinger and seals lubricating oil on the machine-interior side of the housing. The present invention has a constrictive structure in which: a groove for exerting an excretory effect that causes lubricating oil to return to the machine-interior side of the housing at the time of rotation is formed in part of the outer side surface of the flange part that contacts the main lip; and a relative contact angle formed between the flange part and the main lip when the outer side surface of the flange part and the main lip contact each other is small.
