Abstract:
The present invention is a joining method suitable for joining a seal member provided with seal lips that require joining accuracy.
To this end, a seal joining method is configured to comprise: a step in which an adhesive is applied to ends of a seal body and the seal body is mounted on a lower jig in which a lip groove for receiving seal lips is formed; a step in which the seal body is clamped between a pressing jig and the lower jig; a step in which the pressing jig is affixed to the seal body so as to be movable toward the lower jig; a step in which the pressing jig, together with the seal body, is moved toward the other side surface of the lower jig until both the ends are brought into contact with each other; a step in which an upper jig is affixed to the lower jig so as to cover the whole nearby seal body including a joint area in which both the ends are brought into contact with each other; a step in which the jigs are heated to bond the joint area by heating; and a step in which the joined seal body is taken out from the jigs.
