Abstract:
An annular seal ring made of resin and arranged between an outer member and an inner member that rotate relative to one another. The outer member has a fluid space in which a fluid is arranged and has an inner surface having a circular cross section, and the inner member is arranged inside the fluid space and has a circumferential groove. The seal ring is secured to the inner surface of the outer member, is arranged inside the circumferential groove of the inner member so as to be capable of sliding relative to the inner member, and separates the liquid space and an exterior space. A plurality of grooves are formed in an end surface of the seal ring on the exterior-space side. The plurality of grooves have an end portion that opens at the inner-circumferential surface of the seal ring, extend from the open end portion in a direction that is the reverse of the main rotation direction of the inner member relative to the seal ring, and do not extend from the open end portion toward the main rotation direction.
