Abstract:
The body (20) of a seal ring is annularly shaped and has a slit (A) formed at one location in the circumferential direction (x). The opposite ends of the body (20), which form the slit (A), have an overlapping section (14) where one end and the other end of the body (20) overlap each other. The overlapping section (14) has: step cut joints (15), at each of which said end and the other end overlap each other in the radial direction (y); and a lap joint (16) at which said end and the other end overlap each other in the plate thickness direction (z). In the lap joint (16), facing surfaces (31, 32) which face each other in the plate thickness direction are flat surfaces extending from an inner peripheral circular arc (R1) of the seal ring to an outer peripheral circular arc (R2) of the seal ring.
