Abstract:
Provided are a seal structure and a turbomachine designed so as to be capable of effectively minimizing unstable vibrations. This seal structure minimizes the flow of a working fluid leak (SL) from a gap (Gd) between a rotating structure (4) that rotates in a prescribed direction about an axial center line (CL), and a stationary structure (10) that faces the outer periphery of the rotating structure (4) across the gap (Gd) from a radial direction (R), wherein: the stationary structure (10) is provided with a cavity (12) for accommodating the rotating structure (4); an inner peripheral surface (13) of the cavity (12) is provided with a seal fin (6) extending toward the axial center line (CL); a plurality of stationary-side recesses (14) are provided along the flow direction of the leak (SL); and a second stationary-side recess (14B) disposed directly downstream from a first stationary-side recess (14A) in the flow direction is set to have a smaller depth dimension than does the first stationary-side recess (14A), which is farthest upstream in the flow direction.
