Abstract:
This sealed compressor is provided with a compression mechanism unit that compresses a refrigerant in a sealed vessel, wherein: the compression mechanism unit is provided with a first member and a second member that slide against each other; the first member includes a diamond-like carbon film on the surface of a substrate made from an iron-based metal; the second member is formed from cast iron to which magnesium has been added; a surface of the second member that slides against the first member has a carbide precipitation quantity of no more than 5% at an areal proportion; and the Rockwell hardness (HRC) of the second member is 40–55.
