Title:
SEALED ROLLER BEARING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/054616
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a sealed roller bearing that has excellent muddy water resistance, with a small bearing width. A cylindrical part (11a) provided to an outer peripheral part of a sealing member (11) is press-fitted to an end inner diameter surface of an outer ring (1), and a cylindrical part (22) provided to the inner periphery of a slinger (21) is press-fitted to an end outer diameter surface of an inner ring (3). A first radial lip (18) and a second radial lip (19) are provided to an inner peripheral part of the sealing member (11), and the first radial lip (18) and the second radial lip (19) are brought into elastic contact with a sealing sliding surface (24) formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical part (22) of the slinger (21), thereby preventing foreign matter such as muddy water from penetrating into a bearing space (8). An obliquely-outward outwardly bent part (23c) facing outward in the axial direction is provided to an outer peripheral part of a circular ring part (23) provided to the slinger (21), and an outer peripheral end of the outwardly bent part (23c) is positioned further inward than an outer-side end of the cylindrical part (11a) of the sealing member (11). A minute gap (g) is formed at an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical part (11a), and due to the labyrinth effect of the minute gap (g), foreign matter is prevented from penetrating between the sealing member (11) and the slinger (21).
