Abstract:
A sealed rolling bearing having excellent sealing ability substantially reliably
preventing entry of muddy water into the bearing. A pair of seal grooves (7) is
formed in both ends of the bore surface of an outer ring (1), and a seal member (5)
is fitted at its outer diameter section to each of the pair of seal grooves (7).
An inward facing seal lip (12), formed at the bore of each seal member (5), is made
to be in elastic contact with an inner seal surface (10) of a ring groove (9) formed
in each end of the outer diameter surface of an inner ring (2). The flatness A in
the circumferential direction of that a contact section X of the seal surface
(10) with which the seal lip (12) is in elastic contact is set within the range of
5 - 20 μm. Thus, sealing ability of the contact section is enhanced to prevent
entry of muddy water etc. into the inside of the bearing.
