Abstract:
A sealed rolling bearing is configured in such a manner that the negative pressure within the bearing space is eliminated and that water, etc. are prevented from entering the inside of the bearing. A sealed rolling bearing is provided with an inner ring (1), an outer ring (3), and rolling bodies (5) which are retained by a retainer (6) disposed between the raceways (2, 4) of the inner and outer rings. Sealing devices (7) for sealing the bearing space are provided to the end sections of the outer ring (3). The sealing devices (7) comprise seal cases (9) which are fitted to the end sections of the outer ring (3), and also comprise oil seals (11) which are held within the seal cases. The seal cases (9) are provided therein with check valves (20) which permit gas to only flow into the bearing space from the outside of the bearing. The check valves (20) are provided in the seal cases (9), and filters (29) which permit the gas to flow therethrough and block the passage of liquid and solid are provided in the flow paths of the check valves (20) through which the gas flows.
