Abstract:
This sealed rotary compressor is provided with an electric motor part for driving a compression mechanism part inside a sealed case. The electric motor part has a rotor having multiple permanent magnets, and a stator that is fixed to the sealed case so as to surround the rotor and that defines an air gap, in which a gap gauge is insertable, from the outer circumferential part of the rotor. The outer circumferential part of the rotor has a noncircular shape including multiple large-diameter circular arc parts that are curved along a circular arc of which the center is the axial center of the rotor, and multiple linking parts that link the intervals between adjacent large diameter circular arc parts and of which distances from the axial center of the rotor are smaller than those of the large diameter circular arc parts. The rotor is provided with, at both ends thereof in the axial direction, true circle parts positioned coaxially with respect to the rotor. The stator has multiple teeth protruding toward the outer circumferential part of the rotor, and coils wound on the teeth in a concentrated manner. When the radius of the inner circumferential surface of the stator defined by the tips of the teeth is represented as "a", the distance to the large diameter circular arc parts from the axial center of the rotor is represented as "b", and the radius of the true circle parts of the rotor is represented as "c", then a, b, and c satisfy the relationship of c>b-(a-b)/2.
