The invention concerns a sealed and thermally insulating tank comprising a first insulating panel (4, 23) and a second, adjacent insulating panel (4, 24), defining an inter-panel space (11), the tank further comprising: - a first insulating seal (16) housed in the inter-panel space (11), the first insulating the seal (16) comprising an inner portion (19) and an outer portion (18), and - a second insulating seal (17) housed in the inter-panel space (11) and juxtaposed in a width direction (14) of the inter-panel space (11) to one among the inner portion (19) and the outer portion (18) of the first insulating seal (16), - a spacer (22) interposed between the first insulating seal (16) and the second insulating seal (17) in such a way as to exert a pressure on the insulating seals (16, 17) towards the insulating panels (4, 23, 24), and wherein an inter-seal space (21) in which the spacer (22) is housed is delimited by the second insulating seal (17), the inner portion (19) of the first insulating seal (16) and the outer portion (18) of the first insulating seal (16).
