Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements which exhibits excellent application properties and curability under long-wavelength light, and which is capable of inhibiting a display failure which occurs when a liquid crystal display element is lit for a long period of time. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a vertical conduction material and a liquid crystal display element which are obtained by using the sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements. This sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements includes a curable resin and a photopolymerization initiator. The curable resin includes a (meth)acrylic compound having a molecular weight in the range of 700-2000 inclusive. The photopolymerization initiator includes a compound having a structure represented by formula (1). In formula (1), * is a bonding position.
